BLIS WITH TRAILER COVERAGE

It’s rush hour on the interstate. You’re towing a boat on a weekend getaway to a remote mountain lake. And you need to change lanes. If this situation sounds daunting, it usually is. But class-exclusive* available BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with trailer coverage can help ease lane-change anxiety — it can alert you if a vehicle is detected in your vehicle’s blind spot or even alongside the trailer you’re towing.

LANE-KEEPING SYSTEM

It happens. While en route in your 2021 Ford Ranger to your favorite outdoor getaway, you’ve wandered a little too close to the edge of your lane. Luckily, the Lane-Keeping System can help you stay in your lane, even during a moment of distraction. This smart feature scans your vehicle’s position between the lines in the road ahead and can alert you if you’re starting to edge out of your lane.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND FORWARD COLLISION WARNING WITH BRAKE SUPPORT

You’re taking off on a weekend for some fun and relaxation in the great outdoors. To help alleviate the stress of all the hours it takes to reach your destination, you can have your 2021 Ford Ranger equipped with available Adaptive Cruise Control. Just set a cruising speed and distance from the vehicle ahead. And as the vehicle ahead of you slows, so do you — automatically. When the vehicle ahead clears, you resume your preset speed and distance. * There’s also Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support. If it detects a collision is imminent and you don’t react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake.

PRE-COLLISION ASSIST WITH AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

If the system’s sensors detect a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of you, a warning flashes and an audible alert sounds. Also, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake. If you do not take corrective action and a collision is imminent, the brakes can automatically apply.

REAR VIEW CAMERA

Put the vehicle in Reverse and the standard Rear View Camera automatically displays the image of what’s behind your vehicle as you’re slowly backing up. Backup assist grid makes it easy to navigate in Reverse. And with dynamic hitch assist as part of the Rear View Camera System, a black dotted line will curve with the direction you turn the wheel for guidance in backing up to a trailer.

AUTO HIGH-BEAM HEADLAMPS

We’ve all been there. Heading into a pitch-black stretch of road and having to turn on the high beams — then forgetting to turn them off again as oncoming traffic approaches. Now, unlit roads, dark peripheries and other low-visibility situations don’t have to catch you off-guard. Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead. They even sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically so you don’t have to worry about blinding other drivers.
