One of the biggest Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturers, Changan, has also introduced its new model line, the Alsvin. This Company provides a product line covering a diverse selection of premium automobiles. Among them, the Changan Alsvin is the brand's lone subcompact sedan in its lineup in Nepal.
This automobile debuted in Nepal in 2021 as its first-ever premium sedan. With this, it marked the first entry of the Changan automobiles. Today, the authorized distributor of Changan vehicles in Nepal is MAW Vriddhi.
Altogether, when Changan Alsvin debuted, the manufacturer stated its name's meaning as many thought it had a typo. According to them, “Alsvin” is a mythical Norse horse that means “swift.”
The new model, Changan Alsvin, targets first-time buyers with a stylish outlook and performance at an affordable price. It comes across as a pleasant surprise as it has a high-value quotient.
Overall, the Changan Alsvin combines luxury, comfort, and functionality. Also, its manufacturers market the Alsvin as a rival to B-segment sedans.
The Changan Alsvin provides unique premium styling with contemporary design aesthetics. It has aggressive-looking headlamps that blend in with a butterfly-styled front grille. Later, the wings are extended to the DRLs (integrated with ORVM).
Likewise, its tail has a rear LED light and license-plate light. Alongside it, the side mirror signal indicators and 15-inch alloy wheels all make it look neat. Its rear profile has a sedan-like profile.
Moving to its interior design, you will see plenty of leather. It includes leather-and-cloth upholstered seats, a dash, door panels, and a center console. In addition, the dashboard consists of a height-adjustable steering wheel with mounted audio controls, and behind it is a digital instrument cluster.
Furthermore, it includes a seven-inch floating touchscreen display with a futuristic infotainment system that integrates Human Machine Interface (HMI). Not to mention, it has spacious legroom and cargo space.
The Changan Alsvin has two available engine options; Human Machine Interface (HMI).1.4L inline 4-Cylinder, DOHC Blue Core Petrol Engine, and 1.5L DCT Platinum a 1480 cc, four cylinder Gasoline engine.
The Blue Core Petrol Engine generates a max power of 100.61PS and a max torque of 135Nm. Likewise, the Gasoline engine generates 106 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque.
It consists of a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. As fuel-efficient, the engine bonnet has an aluminum alloy that reduces engine noise.
The Changan Alsvin has three variants; however, only one is available in Nepal. This available variant consists of a 1.4-liter Blue Core petrol engine that is marketed at the price of NRs. 42 lakhs.
At an affordable price in the market, the Changan Alsvin provides a pretty quality feature. Especially for first-time buyers, this vehicle model might be enough with decent styling, fuel efficiency, and ample cabin space.
